A bit about me

After graduating  in 1993, I enjoyed a long and happy career as a Primary School Teacher.

Over the years, I became more aware of the need that so many children had,  for something that I was not qualified to give.  Combined with my own very positive experience of counselling, I decided to retrain and attended the University of Aberdeen where I completed my Post Graduate Diploma in Person Centred Counselling.  Wanting to continue my work with children, I went on to complete my Certificate in Counselling Children and Young People at Strathclyde University.

Since then, I have worked for Mental Health Aberdeen and in my own private Practice.  I work with adults, children and young people, and recognise the very different ways needed to work with each client group. 

I achieved accreditation with BACP in October 2023.

I have recently completed my Certificate in Counselling Supervision and am currently undertaking training in EMDR.
